Soil properties in different grazing method

B.H. Melen

Abstract

Animal Grazing produce adverse environmental effects. This research was investigated whether grazing conductance to soil erosion. We sampled two sites such as a protected area, and grazed area on Middelburg, a town in the Eastern Cape Province. The bulk density, water content and proportion of stable aggregates were determined for soil samples. The protected area had the best results reduced erosion. Grazing and feet pressure by animals appear to increase soil erosion.
